Ancient cities of Sri lanka

 Although Sri lanka is a small country in extent ,it inherits a long history more that 2500 years.

AnAnuradhapura is the first capital of Sir Lanka where a lot of ancient ruins can be seen.

Ruins of very ancient buildings , places , pagodas and tanks bear evidence to a prosperous era of our country.

When we visit the ancient city of AnAnuradhapura we can really be proud of our forefathers and their skills and craftsmanship.

Polonnaruwa , Sigiriya , Dambadeniya are some of the other historical place in the country. 

Aukana and Vijithapura are two other important place in the history of Sri Lanka.

However , there are many historical places in our country.

As real citizens we all must be proud of our history and our great ancestors.

Further , we all must try to protect these historical monuments for our younger generation.
