Vesak Festival

 Vesak festival falls in the month of May every year.This is one of the most noble and the greatest festivals of Buddhists throughout the world.Buddhists all over the world engage in many religious activities on this sacred day.

              

We are decorated our homes colourfully with many things like vesak lanterns and decorating papers .

Devotees throng to temples in white throughout the day but mostly in the evening .Many people  observe sil and they spend the whole day in temples.some other people organize "Dansals".The majority of Buddhists spend this day performing many religious activities .


Some organizations conduct devotional song competitions and vesak lantern competitions everywhere in the country .All these things are  done in honour of the Lord Buddha.
